Scoutpack Style: The Nursery

Ah, the nursery. When those nesting instincts hit, styling this room can be a dream come true. The rest of the time? It's a logistical nightmare. But fear not! We're here to make sure you can say "Hi MTV, welcome to my baby's crib" with confidence. Buckle up & get inspired with these nursery styling tips from the Scoutpack.

Pastels and nurseries go together like Beyonce and Jay Z. If you're feeling overwhelmed by your color options, we firmly believe in the pastel method. Why's that? A zen baby is ideal, and soft hues are known to relax and soothe. Plus, the light and airy feeling that they bring to a space is evocative of new life. It just fits!
Our limited run Magritte dressers are perfect for a nursery lewk. Thinking about going gender neutral with your pastel picks? Browse our custom dressers and vintage credenzas to find baby's dream closet.

Breaking news: babies sleep A LOT. If you want to avoid (or attempt to) the dreaded newborn all nighter, keeping things comfortable is a must. We recommend having a variety of soft blankets around the room so baby STAYS swaddled. Pro tip! Decorating with bouclé and plush toys means every vibe check is a cozy one.

Seize the day and seize the opportunity to cohesify. Adding a rug is a great way to tie all of your fabulous decor together while adding some fun color. Smaller rugs often divide a space, so we suggest sticking with bigger rug sizes. It's also good to note that rugs protect your precious flooring from your precious (and destructive) baby. When it comes to wall decor, it might be tempting to go baby or go home. We're here to tell you: think outside the nursery box. Avoiding themed or "babyish" prints helps your decor stand the test of time. That doesn't mean you can't have fun! Choosing whimsical artwork with lots of color allows your nursery to look age-appropriate without the dreaded kitsch.
No boring walls allowed with our wall art collection.

Struggling to find a spot for all those books you were gifted at the baby shower? Display them on hanging shelves to take advantage of empty wall space. Thank us later when you're not bumping into baby's bookshelf at 2 am on your way to the crib.
Bonus points if your shelves are rainbow.

Not sure what kind of look you're going for? Here are some of our favorite styled nurseries to inspire:

At the end of the day, baby is just a baby. That paint on the wall? It's mostly for you. After all, you'll probably be spending the most time awake in the nursery. So bring on the decorating fun!
